Please read the directions below very carefully; "1, 2, 3 Read." This assignment is on Canada's First Nations People. There is a timeline for completion and presentation.
Directions: In groups of two or three choose one of the seven first people's of Canada. Your presentation should be no less than 5 minutes and no more than 10 minutes long. Video can be used from either YouTube or Discovery Education if you wish. I do require you to have made notes to assist you in your presentation. If you are using paper please write or type them out, both Keynote and PowerPoint have built in presenter notes.. Good presentations will focus heavy on graphics with minimal words on the slides. (titles and captions) Words will be mostly on the presenter notes. I will let you choose your own partners but for this assignment there cannot be any groups of one or four. Your choices are:

Requirements: Your presentation must contain slides on the following:
1) A map of Canada showing where your first nation existed before European contact. 2) Language spoken and Nations included within the group. (No need to list them all, 4 or 5 will be sufficient) 3) Food (This can including hunting and gathering or agriculture. 4) Environment and Housing 5) Religion and ceremonies 6) Art 7) Clothing 8) Transportation 9) Family and Social Structure 10) Leadership, tribal relations and war 11) (Optional) Anything interesting that you found out that you would like to share with the class. Monday, June 15th. 2:00 - 2:35: Pick your topic and your group members. We will go over the instructions and get started. You should make use of the website: Canada's First People it contains a lot of the information you will need to complete this project.
Tuesday, June 16th. 9:40 - 10:40: Time to work on the presentation. You should be gathering your information together and finding images that support your information.
Wednesday, June 17th. 1:30 - 2:35: Time to work on the presentation. You should be putting the finishing touches on your work. If you do not finish after today's class you will have to finish up at home as we will be presenting on Thursday morning from 8:40 to 9:10 and then again after French until the projects are complete.
